Keep Sunday March 25th free to attend our Annual Open House. As usual we'll throw the doors open so people can check out the variety of projects we have underway.
The shop will be open too and as usual we'll have special collectors edition T shirts available. Plenty of off-street parking for hot rods & street machines plus we're expecting the 'Best Represented Club'
award to again be hotly contested. We're aware of rods coming from as far away as Auckland, plus there is a contingent of South Island cars coming en route to the Beach Hop. See you here!

We've also installed Vintage Air air-conditioning for the local undertaker.
An interesting bit of sideline business and with very specific deadlines, if you'll forgive the pun!

The Kiwi Hot Rodders Guide to Life

If you recall the highly successful "Blokes in Sheds" book you'll have an inkling of what this new book is about. The difference this time around is it has been written by a hot rodder, for hot rodders, plus this new publication is in colour, and a massive 184 pages!

We've had a sneak preview of the book and will definitely be securing an autographed copy for our own personal collection of NZ hot rodding history.

The book retails for $39.95 so in addition to a copy for yourself, it will make an ideal Christmas present.

Hopefully you'll be able to join us on Saturday 5 November. Better still if you arrive in your hot rod!

There is no obligation to RSVP although an indication of numbers would be appreciated as we will be providing, in conjunction with Hedleys Booksellers and Harper Collins Publishers, some light refreshments.

If you'd like to pre-order a copy of the book, please email back and we'll make sure we have a copy set aside for you.

If you can't make it on the day and want us to send one out (remember this is a limited edition book) after the weekend then the total cost including courier is $45.

Email us to order and also advise if you wish your copy(s) to be autographed by the author, Steve Holmes.

Note: All pre-orders are also in the draw for the Ed Roth model too.

West Coast Nationals

The Goodguys West Coast Nationals at Pleasanton has come and gone for
another year. Despite the US economy it was the best event for at least 3 years (hard to beat 2008 when we won the coveted Stroker McGurk award with the roadster pickup) with participant and specator numbers well up. Plenty of Kiwis in attendance and great that our small country was again well represented, with the Reid/Payne roadster in the Winners Circle.
Hot Rod Week preceeds the event and gives an exclusive tour of many private collections and shops.
